NOTE: MEMBER YEAR RUNS FROM APRIL 1 TO MARCH 31
To become a member at Los Alamos Sportsmen's Club,
please take note of the following:
Los Alamos Sportsmen's ClubPO Box 953Los Alamos, NM 87544
Memberships run from April 1 to March 31 the following year. Dues for primary members are prorated each month to the first of each month. If you join LASC here on the last day of a particular month, you are charged for the entire month.
After setting up your account, applying for membership, and paying your membership fees you are all set to attend the New Member Safety Orientation. To obtain a Membership Access Badge you and any additional family members (AFM) over 18 will need to attend a New Member Safety Orientation. Guests do not need to attend an orientation as the member is responsible and assumes liability for them and their actions.
If you cannot or prefer not to pay for your account via credit card at the time of application, you will be able to pay for your account in person via check or cash at the New Member Safety Orientation. You will need to create your Membership Management Portal account before attending the Orientation. If you have questions or concerns please contact Dave Houck, Membership Officer (membership@la-sc.org).
You will then need to attend a New Member Safety Orientation, usually held on the second Sunday of each month from 10am-1pm.
New Member Safety Orientations can be found on the LASC Public Calendar.
When can you attend an orientation? Rather than assigning you an orientation, we give the option of attending any orientation you choose. However, if you had made an application to join LASC but chose to not attend the next orientation, please do not expect a credit or refund for your nonattendance. We suggest not signing up until you are ready to attend the next orientation. Memberships are neither transferable nor refundable.
You will not be issued an access badge unless you have paid in advance or brought cash or check to the orientation session and your balance shows as zero. Upon completing the orientation, you will be given a picture badge with proximity card and you will be free to use the facilities at your discretion. The proximity card will allow access to the Club main building, classroom, indoor range, and restroom facilities. Furthermore, you will receive a card with this year’s gate code.
You should bring a photo ID with proof of age, and please bring proof of payment to the orientation session.
After you have completed the New Member Safety Orientation you will be able to sign up for and then access the “members calendar” which allows you to see what events you can participate in and reserve ranges for your exclusive use. The sign up for this calendar is separate from the New Member Safety Orientation and is graciously managed by board member, website secretary Michael Grimler. If you have difficulties accessing this please reread the instructions and if still having difficulty email Mike.
